Systems Engineer
Position Summary
IGC is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical engineering support for the design, integration, testing, and evaluation of analytical tools, platforms, and technology pilots. The individual will assess technical options, integration considerations, operational performance, and transition readiness.Responsibilities
- Analyze technical options and architectures for pilot tools and platforms.
- Support integration planning with existing enterprise systems, subject to program direction.
- Develop technical artifacts such as interface specifications, data flows, and system diagrams.
- Support test planning, technical evaluation, and performance assessment of pilot solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on scalability, security, interoperability, reliability, and technical risk.
- Support system design reviews, architecture evaluations, and integration planning with existing systems and workflows.
- Help define test scenarios, coordinate with program personnel and vendors, and support structured collection of test and evaluation data.
- Assess technical and operational suitability and document findings, limitations, recommended deployment conditions, and transition considerations.
- Support evaluation of analytic platforms, data sources, data-fusion capabilities, and AI-enabled workflows, as applicable to the assigned program.
- Protect sensitive data and apply applicable federal security, compliance, and information-handling requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of systems-engineering or solution-architecture experience.
- Experience with analytic platforms, data fusion, or similar technical environments.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualification
- Familiarity with federal security and compliance environments, such as FedRAMP or comparable federal authorization environments.
Background Investigation and Access
- Ability to complete applicable federal background-investigation, facility-access, and system-access requirements based on the assigned work.
- On-site computer access may require completion of the applicable background investigation.
- Ability to safeguard sensitive and regulated information and follow applicable requirements for classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information when applicable.
