Apply to Azure Cloud Engineer
About IGC
Info Gain Consulting (IGC) delivers data analytics, cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, and digital modernization solutions to federal agencies. We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to design, secure, automate, and maintain cloud environments supporting enterprise data, analytics, and AI capabilities.
The successful candidate must have hands-on experience in Azure Government, GCC, or GCC High—not solely commercial Azure experience.
What You Will Do
-
Engineer, configure, and maintain secure Azure Government, GCC, or GCC High environments.
-
Support cloud services operating across Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service models.
-
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or comparable automation tools.
-
Configure and administer Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, Role-Based Access Control, and other identity and access-management controls.
-
Design and maintain virtual networks, private connectivity, network-security controls, and secure hybrid-cloud connections.
-
Support integrations and connectivity across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.
-
Build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure for data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI/ML workloads.
-
Configure Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, data lakes, compute resources, and related platform services.
-
Implement automated provisioning, monitoring, scaling, backup, recovery, and cost-control measures.
-
Apply applicable FedRAMP, NIST, and federal security requirements to cloud environments handling sensitive information.
-
Implement version control and automated deployment practices for cloud infrastructure.
-
Monitor cloud performance, security, availability, and cost; identify risks and recommend improvements.
-
Troubleshoot infrastructure, identity, networking, performance, and deployment issues.
-
Maintain current architecture, configuration, security, and operational documentation.
-
Coordinate infrastructure and architectural decisions with Government technical stakeholders.
-
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, BI developers, cybersecurity personnel, and program leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. Specialized technical experience and relevant certifications may substitute for the technical degree.
-
At least two years of experience engineering and maintaining cloud environments within Azure Government, GCC, or GCC High.
-
At least two years of experience supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud-service models.
-
At least two years of experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or comparable cloud-automation technologies.
-
At least two years of experience managing cloud security, identity, and networking using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, virtual networks, and secure hybrid-cloud connections.
-
Experience supporting cloud connectivity across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP.
-
Current interim or final Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or comparable certification.
-
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps and Git.
-
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Microsoft Fabric.
-
Experience supporting containerized environments using Docker or Kubernetes.
-
Experience supporting AI/ML, MLOps, data-engineering, or enterprise-analytics platforms.
-
Understanding of FedRAMP, NIST, zero-trust, and federal information-security requirements.
-
Experience implementing cloud cost-management, resource tagging, automated shutdown, and workload-scaling controls.
-
Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-communication skills.
Important Screening Requirement
Commercial Azure experience alone does not satisfy this position. Applicants should clearly identify their Azure Government, GCC, or GCC High experience, including the projects, responsibilities, technologies used, and dates of performance.
