Info Gain Consulting (IGC) delivers data analytics, information technology, and mission-support services to federal government clients. We are building our team for an anticipated Department of War Office of Inspector General data analytics support contract.

Position Overview

IGC is seeking a Full-Stack Modern Data Scientist & GenAI Engineer to build, evaluate, secure, and deploy machine-learning, Generative AI, and full-stack applications supporting a federal oversight mission.

What You'll Do

  •   Develop machine-learning and deep-learning solutions involving NLP, transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, tokenization, and semantic text embeddings.
  •   Build GenAI solutions using APIs, LangChain or LlamaIndex, Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, vector databases, and Large Language Model fine-tuning.
  •   Implement evaluation guardrails to detect, measure, and mitigate hallucinations, jailbreaks, bias, and unsafe outputs before production release.
  •   Develop production-quality full-stack applications using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and FastAPI or Node.js.
  •   Write production-quality code, manage data structures, and deploy software using Python and Java.
  •   Develop scalable microservices, API layers, and functional frontend interfaces for internal Government applications.
  •   Manage Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  •   Perform data engineering, querying, and containerized deployment using SQL, NoSQL, AWS or Azure GovCloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  •   Monitor production inference latency, token consumption, model behavior, functionality, and operating costs.

What You'll Need

  •   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university. Specialized technical experience and certifications may substitute for the technical degree.
  •   Minimum two years of experience developing and implementing ML/DL concepts, including algorithms, framework architectures, NLP, transformers, attention mechanisms, tokenization, and semantic embeddings.
  •   Minimum two years of experience building GenAI solutions using APIs, LangChain or LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, and LLM fine-tuning.
  •   Minimum two years of full-stack development experience producing production-quality code with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and FastAPI or Node.js.
  •   Minimum two years of experience writing production-quality code, managing data structures, and deploying software using Python and Java.
  •   Minimum two years of experience managing Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  •   Minimum two years of experience in data engineering, querying, and cloud containerization using SQL, NoSQL, AWS or Azure GovCloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  •   U.S. citizenship and an active or interim Secret security clearance.

Work Arrangement

  •   Work will be performed at the Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Offsite work may be authorized by the Government, and personnel must report onsite whenever required.
  •   U.S. citizenship and an active or interim Secret security clearance are required.
